What about travel and accommodation?

 HOTELS

There are no hotels right next to the university and limited allocation is available for the nights of 24th and 25th March 2006 at the following hotels.  Jenny will be working strictly on a first come, first served basis.  To secure a reservation, a deposit of 50% is required with the balance to be paid at least one month prior to the arrival date.

• Tryp Washington -   Gran Via 74 (Metro Plaza España) - A 3 star hotel tried and tested on previous occasions

• Tryp Gran Via  -  (Metro Gran Via) a 3 star hotel within the same hotel group

• Hotel Opera - (Metro Opera) and less than 5 minutes walk to Plaza España - a 3 star hotel which boasts a restaurant where you can be served dinner by trainee opera singers who serve your food to the likes of Mozart, etc.

• Hotel Tirol – (Metro Argüelles) A good basic 3 star hotel close to the Arguelles Metro

PRICES ARE IN EUROS AND ARE PER PERSON PER NIGHT. THEY INCLUDE BREAKFAST AND IVA / VAT.

There are also plenty of budget hostals and pensiones in Madrid. Please consult Jenny, who will be happy to assist with reservations.

TRAVEL

TRAINS - With RENFE trains a 30% discount and AVE a 25% discount each way has been negotiated during the conference period. In reality, if you book a return trip which always gives a discount of 20%, the overall is 10% and 5% respectively. Reservations cannot be made until 8 weeks in advance but it is suggested that you let Jenny have your requirements as soon as possible to ensure you are not disappointed.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR NON RESIDENTS OF THE U.K. OR SCANDINAVIA
Jenny Brown has become official representative in Spain for BRITRAIL and SCANDINAVIA RAIL PRODUCTS - During 2006, for any non residents of these countries, she will be delighted to offer a 5% discount on any of the products to people attending the TESOL SPAIN Convention . The normal service fee charged of Euros 9,00 will also be waived.
