Dear TESOL-SPAIN members and Newsletter
contributors,
I
would like to draw your attention to an unfortunate fact, which is the loss of
many documents and submissions to the Newsletter when my computer was stolen a
few weeks ago. As my backup seems to have stored only part of the material
submitted to the TESOL-SPAIN Newsletter, I need your help to make sure
Ill retrieve what was lost.
Please, if any of you have sent
in articles, book reviews, or any other texts for publication in the
Newsletter, could you get in touch with me to check if I have retrieved the
initial copy or whether you need to resend it?
I
sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and possible delays this might cause
many of you and will be happy to answer any questions at
publications@tesol-spain.org or at 91 211 5630.
Dear TESOL-SPAIN members,
As
you will notice when you take a look at the TESOL-SPAIN membership forms in
this issue, we have raised our membership fees. Individual membership is now
25, student membership 10, and institutional membership
20.
Those of you who are long-standing members know that TESOL-SPAIN has not raised
its membership fees in more than 8 years, since we are all aware that
many of our members have to make a considerable financial effort to pay
membership and convention registration fees each year. However, running a
non-profit organisation at national level is expensive, and we feel that we
need to ask you for a bit of extra support to be able to ensure the smooth
running of the association.
In
addition, we are confident that youll have noticed the improvement in the
contents and number of issues of the newsletter, in providing convention
information to all members and in offering speaker grants for the
convention.
In conclusion, we hope you will find the slight rise reasonable and
justified by the improvements we have made. We will be happy to answer any
questions you might have at
publications@tesol-spain.org or at 91 2115630. Please also consult the
financial report, if youd like
further details on how our funds are administrated. |
