Listening if often one of the
most difficult skills. The internet provides the advantage of being able to
stop and start the listening while often also having accompanying materials,
images, texts etc. which may help your understanding.
Make predictions
of what you think you will hear first. The accompanying caption and maybe other
text or images will help you.
When you have
heard the complete listeing once, write a very brief / general
summary.
Remember the most important words are often stressed
and sound strongest.
To analyse and understand more remember you can stop,
forward, rewind the listening as you wish. Other text and images on the site
may also provide more information on the same subject.
Make some notes on
what you hear and compare with other students and your teacher if you are in
class.
Don't forget to
ask your teacher or use the online grammar and dictionary links below to check
any vocabulary or grammar questions you might have.
Remember, you can listen as often as you want!
