Título: From Words to Worlds: Strengthening Bilingual Education
 
Abstract:     
Language shapes how students see themselves and engage with the world. This interactive professional development session, presented by CALEC, offers practical tools and strategies to help educators strengthen bilingual instruction and support biliteracy growth in their classrooms. Participants will explore research-based benefits of bilingual education, discover classroom-ready strategies for vocabulary and literacy development, and learn ways to engage families and communities as partners in language learning.
Designed for K–12 educators across subjects, this 60-minute workshop blends theory with hands-on practice to ensure teachers leave with actionable ideas they can implement immediately.
