Trauma-informed Teaching
A useful resource for teachers and school leaders working in challenging circumstances, created by representatives of international TESOL associations.

This handbook is the result of a summit organised by TESOL Türkiye and funded by the Regional English Language Office (RELO). During the summit, representatives from TESOL-SPAIN worked together with an international team of colleagues from our sister associations to discuss the topic of trauma-informed teaching. Their collaboration led to the creation of four chapters in the handbook, looking at the following areas:
- Signs that indicate trauma in the language learning classroom
- Coping strategies which EFL teachers can adopt
- Challenges which can lead to teacher burnout and strategies to help
- Developing trauma-informed schools
