The purpose of the TESOL-SPAIN website is to provide general and specific information about its scope, and to allow online registration:

• as a member,
• to the events organized by TESOL-SPAIN.

Obligatory nature of the data entered

The association guarantees the users of the website that it complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and that it has established the security measures required by the laws and regulations aimed at preserving the secrecy, confidentiality and integrity in the processing of their personal data. Such personal data will be used in the manner and with the limitations and rights granted by the protection of personal data.

To become a member of TESOL-SPAIN or to register for the annual Convention organized by TESOL-SPAIN, the user must fill in the forms available at www.tesol-spain.org. The completion of all fields marked with a red asterisk that appear in the forms are mandatory. The refusal to provide these mandatory data would make it impossible to register and fulfill the relationship between the Member and our association.

We inform you that the data collected through the forms on this website will be incorporated into an automated file for which TESOL-SPAIN is responsible and will be used to respond to the issues raised and for the maintenance, management and control of the relationship between the non-profit TESOL-SPAIN Association and its partners.    

 In relation to the data entered by users, they will not be given to third parties, unless the user checks the box "Check this box if you wish to receive mailings of material from other organizations" on a voluntary basis in the registration form.

The personal data collected are of the following type: Name/Surname and contact details (telephone, email address and postal address). They will be stored indefinitely.

By providing these data, users fully and unreservedly accept their processing by TESOL-SPAIN.

Exercise of rights

The collection and processing of personal data requested is for the purpose of user service, both administrative and commercial. TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) undertakes to keep the maximum reserve, secrecy and confidentiality of the information of the personal data that it has at its disposal. You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) is processing your personal data, therefore you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

The access and/or use of this portal confers the condition of USER, who accepts, from said access and/or use, the General Conditions of Use reflected herein. The mentioned Conditions will be of application independently of the General Conditions of Contracting that in its case are of obligatory fulfillment. TESOL-SPAIN is committed in the use of the data included in the file, to respect its confidentiality and to use them in accordance with the purpose of the same, as well as to comply with its obligation to save them and to adapt all measures to prevent alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorized access, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1720/2007 of December 21, which approves the Regulation of development of Law 15/1999 of December 13, Protection of Personal Data.

The web page provides access to a multitude of information, services, programs or data (hereinafter, "the contents") on the Internet belonging to TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) or its licensors to which the USER may have access. The USER assumes responsibility for the use of the portal. This responsibility extends to the registration that may be necessary to access certain services or contents.

In such registration, the USER shall be responsible for providing truthful and lawful information. As a consequence of this registration, the USER may be provided with a password for which he/she will be responsible, committing him/herself to make diligent and confidential use of it. In any case, TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) will not be responsible for the opinions expressed by users through forums, chats, or other participation tools.

Security Breaches

TESOL-SPAIN adopts reasonably adequate security measures to detect the existence of viruses. However, the user should be aware that the security measures of computer systems on the Internet are not entirely reliable and therefore TESOL-SPAIN can not guarantee the absence of viruses or other elements that may cause alterations in computer systems (software and hardware) of the user or their electronic documents and files contained therein.

In case of detecting any breach TESOL-SPAIN undertakes to inform users within a maximum period of 72 hours.

Exemption of responsibility for external interventions

TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) is not responsible, in any case, for damages of any nature that may cause, by way of example:

• errors or omissions in the contents, lack of availability of the portal.
• the transmission of viruses or malicious or harmful programs in the contents, despite having taken all the necessary technological measures to prevent it.
• malfunction of the website that has its origin in an accidental circumstance, force majeure or any other cause not attributable to it.

TESOL-SPAIN does not guarantee absolute privacy in the use of this website, since the possibility that unauthorized third parties may penetrate the system and alter/use/steal data cannot be ruled out.

Modifications

TESOL-SPAIN (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) reserves the right to make unannounced changes it deems appropriate in its website, and may change, delete or add content and services provided through the same as the way in which they are presented or located on its website.

Right of exclusion
